Abstract:
1:100,000 National Hydrology Data Plus was the source of centerline and flow information within the Clay county boundary. National Hydrography Data was used to fill in data around the county for the purpose of future mapping
requiring a regional view. The attributes of both NHD Plus and NHD are the same. Flow direction also seems to
match when the data sets were appended. The centerline data was normalised over the Clay County 2008 digital
photographs. Where open water could not be seen in the photography the data was nomalized to stay within the
SJRWMD 1:24,000 wetland deliniation or landuse layers. The data within the county should represent at
least a 1:24,000 scale location accuracy. Where open water can be seen on the photography accuracy
should watch the 2008 photo rectification of +- seven feet. new hydro centlines were added and source
coded from USGS stream inventories or other county data sources (such as old surveys or plats). The
source codes can be referenced to determine arc origins. Attibutes such as COM_ID will not exist on
any data other than NHD and NHD Plus. |
Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.

To establish a true creek inventory and location.
Data outside of clay county proper has not been normalized and remains at 1:100,000 accuracy.
