Description: As part of the Clay County stormwater master plan, Jones Edmunds produced 1-foot contours from the USGS 2018 LiDAR Digital Elevation Model (DEM). Jones Edmunds developed the contours based on the DEM (tif files) that Jones Edmunds downloaded from the USGS website in August 2022 (https://rockyweb.usgs.gov/vdelivery/Datasets/Staged/Elevation/OPR/Projects/FL_Peninsular_FDEM_2018_D19_DRRA/FL_Peninsular_FDEM_Clay_2018/TIFF/). The elevations are in feet (NAVD88) and referenced to Geoid 12B. The stated accuracy of the DEM that the contours were derived from is 9.8 cm (0.32 feet or 4.8 inches) at the 5-percent confidence level in non-vegetated open terrain (USGS Data Validation Report - FL_Peninsular_FDEM_Clay_2018 - 2021-05-20).Jones Edmunds mosaiced the individual tif files in ArcPro 2.9 to produce a countywide DEM. Jones Edmunds then used Global Mapper version 24 to produce contours from the USGS DEM. Jones Edmunds tested the accuracy of the contours by comparing the contour elevation to the raster DEM elevation at more than 3 million points. Jones Edmunds found that 96 percent of the sampled points were within 0.5 foot of the DEM elevation and 70 percent of the points were within 0.25 foot of the DEM elevation.
